World art masterpieces exhibited in Moscow

By Tatyana Zavyalova: To mark the 15th anniversary of its work in Moscow, the world-famous Christie’s Auction House has staged an exhibition of pictures reflecting the 400-year history of world painting from Rembrandt to Dali (April 12 to 13). The top lots of several auctions that will be held in a number of countries   this spring have arrived in Moscow. The pre-auction demonstration of paintings will be held in the mansion of Muravyov-Apostol in Moscow which is a historical and cultural monument dating back to the 18th and 19th centuries that was restored later – one of the few that had survived the 1812 fire when Napoleon’s forces occupied Moscow.
