Designer Gautam Gupta’s Citric Spring-Summer 2012 Collection “Lime Chuski”

After mesmerizing the Delhi’s style and savvy urban women with his foray into Western wear, Designer Gautam Gupta has unveiled his Spring-Summer 2012 collection under the label AUTRE. The title of the collection goes as ‘Lime Chuski’. collection symbolises the carefree urban women who just loves to be free. Indian embroidery”, adds the Gautam. Fabrics used for the collection are georgettes, chiffons, chanderi, organza, cotton and linen. Colours used for the theme are fuchsia, lime green, sunny yellow, orange and aqua. The use of specialised Indian embroidery like Kantha work, Phulkari work, Kashmiri embroidery, Parsi gara embroidery, Ari and Zardosi along with beads, cut dana and sequins can be witnessed in designs. Using all these in various permutation and combination, they have incorporated them in western silhouettes and cuts to give them an international look. Source: Page3
