Designer Gautam Gupta’s Citric Spring-Summer 2012 Collection “Lime Chuski”

After mesmerizing the Delhi’s style and savvy urban women with his foray into Western wear, Designer Gautam Gupta has unveiled his Spring-Summer 2012 collection under the label AUTRE. The title of the collection goes as ‘Lime Chuski’. The fluorescent appeal of the season can be clearly witnessed in the designs as they are fresh and flamboyant. The passion is enclosed in each and every garment as this
collection symbolises the carefree urban women who just loves to be free. The colours are apt to set the mood of the season as they are bright, eclectic and full of joy”, said the young and experimental Designer. Each creation is distinct and has an amalgamation of the best of India and the west. “The theme ‘Lime chuski’ represent happiness, freedom, bonding and enjoying life at every moment. Indian embroidery”, adds the Gautam. Fabrics used for the collection are georgettes, chiffons, chanderi, organza, cotton and linen. Colours used for the theme are fuchsia, lime green, sunny yellow, orange and aqua. The use of specialised Indian embroidery like Kantha work, Phulkari work, Kashmiri embroidery, Parsi gara embroidery, Ari and Zardosi along with beads, cut dana and sequins can be witnessed in designs. Using all these in various permutation and combination, they have incorporated them in western silhouettes and cuts to give them an international look. Source: Page3
